Beaches Here I COME!!

A lousy day at the beach still beats a great day in the office! This is what's keeping me going these days!

I'm about over The Mother Of All Colds, coughing only occasionally, and although my running is SSSSSLLLLLLOOOOOWWWW these days, at least I'm running.

In a little over a week now, my wife, son and me will be heading for the North Carolina coast for a family vacation. Not nearly long enough (only 4 days), but better than braving the Cincinnati winter temperatures these days!

I ask you, is there anything more fun that running while you are on vacation? I just LOVE heading out of the door in a strange place to explore! I usually get up early, in enough time to get out and back before my little buddy wakes up. I explore the place and usually am able to find a cute little breakfast dive we can hit. Aren't those always the best places? I'm very pumped about the trip.

In addition (KNOCK ON WOOD), other than some small remnants of this cold, I have no nagging aches or pains! It's the first time in months I can say that!

So to recap.... Vacation, Running, Great Breakfast Dives, Sun, Beaches, Healthy.

Life is good.

Peace....

You know what I think is great? Oh how I miss this... there is NOTHING like seeing the finish line of a race... the heart pumping, the overflowing emotion... it is the most exhilarating thing EVER!!!!

So glad you are getting out for a vacation!

There are few things I love more than an 'exploration run' while I'm on vacation...I can't wait to do it in 2 weeks when I'll finally be in Ireland!!

Indeed. Life is good and our blessing. Thanks for the advice. I don't like treadmills, and I don't like to run in the cold. So, I love your words: "hang in there girl. If you are anything like I am, when this nasty winter weather starts to break, your MOJO will return with the spring weather. Just hang on tight and get through winter. Not much longer now!"
THNX!! Your words gave me a lot of SPIRIT. Enjoy wife and baby and of course, OUTDOORS!!! Spring is coming.

Just found your blog from Petra. I had the mother of colds last year for 2 months (allergies turn into bad infection). Glad to hear you're getting over yours.

Boy, that beach looks inviting! I hope you have a wonderful time at the beach in NC!

Im less than two weeks, I am headed to Moab, Utah. I will run my form of the beach, as well as Jeeping some tricky obstacles!

Don't forget to share those little breakfast nook restaurants that you find!
